Mosarrap H Khan has recently defended his doctoral dissertation at the Department of English, New York University, USA. Previously, he had taught at Kurseong College, University of North Bengal, Darjeeling, West Bengal, India, from 2002-07. His research interests include South Asian literature and culture, religion and secularism, theories of everyday life, and Muslim life in West Bengal. He loves reading travel books and occasionally writes about his own travel. He is also a founding-editor at Cafe Dissensus, an independent magazine of culture, literature, and politics. His writings have appeared on Democracy Now, Scroll.in, The Bombay Review, and Cafe Dissensus.
