The Globetrotter’s Glossary: Word of the Day is Travellogism

Travellogism (n.)

Variables: Travellogist.

Roots: Travel & Syllogism (Click on the links to find the meanings of the root words on Merriam-Webster Dictionary).

Definition: A new word (neologism) pertaining to travel. Also, a philosophy, inference or a rationale on travelling, travel destinations, logistics of travel, etc.

Example: Whenever Sarina returned from her travels, Paul patiently waited for her to unfold the albums of photographs which she had taken in far and near lands, each captioned with a trite travellogism to mark where and how she came across her subjects. These incidents eventually took a heavy toll on their relationship.
