With the blend of millet wine
Sipping; resting
Among the blooming and towering trees
Snuggled under the blanket of unkempt foliage
Leaning against the arms of Murmah Khola and Balason
Where the rainbow trouts peep
Feeds upon organic feast of greens
Gambols with naughty wild boars
Romantic peacock calls for dance
The glutton hornbill sneaks over sometimes
And the barking deer guards the night
Bunkulung sleeps
Resting its head on pillow rocks
Lying on the marshy bed
At the ground floor of Mirik hills
Haunted by the Limbu spirits
Bunkulung sleeps and snores
Uncared and unlooked
Among the colorful blossoms and honest butterflies
That dance the tunes of chyaabrung
Within the vibrant and verdant valley
At the sombre solitudes
Once termed Kala Paani
Was ignorance
Left to decay and perish
Bears molestation
It is an ignorance
Yearning despair
Cuddled in the arms of Mother Earth
Crooning lullaby
Bunkulung dreams
High! soaked in millet wine.
