Watching your nimble fingers
Pushing the reeds of the piano,
Sink in yourself,
Just as real, as visceral-
There will be a look in your face
So pure the hidden touch,
Still comes with some stress
That’s not true, that’s not fair at all.
In a solitary pursuit,
Two white birds land softly on the gentle waves
Wash their wings, shuffles in low light
On the calm ocean water,
Strip away their bells and whistles.
Eventually I track down
The right sound in a piano bar
Now perfect, yellow light seeps in.
Yet I live on my inner wildness
Talking about turtle hatchery.
Not knowing what we share common.
Unmindful of salty sea food on plate
Ladies in jersey frocks showing
Floral fabric and zipper necklace
Reminiscent of movie posters,
Offer an oasis of colours.
Adrenalin-fuelled smile whips up
Bubbles of joy
It’s a bit surreal
Watching crypto crystalline stones
Glow in the setting sun.
It’s between you and me
So they say, guilt is past and worry is future.
For us: beauty is present.
The tone and the five octave voice
The past is slow to fade,
About asking questions on life,
And the real answers lie in
Weaving dreams in a beach shack.
